Overview

HP OpenView Service Information Portal enables service providers to give their customers visibility into their outsourced environments by creating a "portal" view into each customer’s services. The service provider determines the content and layout of this information to ensure that the customer receives an optimum view of their services. Customers need only a web browser to access their personalized portal.

Service Information Portal contains a portal foundation and a range of management information modules, including network modules and application modules. The modules extract information from HP OpenView solutions to provide an integrated view of the customer’s managed environment.

The various modules included with Service Information Portal extract information from HP OpenView Network Node Manager, HP OpenView Operations for UNIX and Windows, HP OpenView Service Desk, HP OpenView Internet Services, HP OpenView Peformance Insight, HP OpenView Performance Manager, other HP OpenView management tools, and other pertinent sources.

Service Information Portal allows you to control the type of information accessible by the customer.
» Quickly and easily set up and administer services
A graphical administrative interface enables the service provider to set up the information for each customer or group of customers, storing the information in XML configuration files. Administration tools enable users to edit users/roles/organizations and passwords. A tool is also provided for configuring integrations with other HP OpenView products.
